    choke retainer part

I freaking hate plastic parts, and my muscle, not that it took much.
I broke the plastic choke retainer screw/cap on one of my carbs. right after rebuilding such a stupid part of keep me from running the bike.
I can't seem to find the part on bike bandit, it's not pointed out on the schematic, any ideas where I could find one of them? maybe I could replace them with the earlier metal ones
if you can't tell from my signature, it's an '85 gs700

The choke plunger assembly I'm guessing are the same! I have an older one from 80-81 BS34 carb

yeah, it's the same as the one in the carbaratur clean up series, are you sure if that kawasaki part will fit, it definetly looks real similar, or should I just keep looking for a proper GS part?

alright, I really want to get this part, but I'm a little hesitant because I'm not entirely sure if it's the correct part, sure looks it, but I don't wanna waste $8.50 plus shipping if it's the wrong part. is there anyone who can give me a definate answer to whether it'd work or not, or perhaps another source for the choke retainer part I'm looking for? thanks a lot for your help

btw, I'm looking to see if part number 16012 in the above link is compatable with my '85 gs700 carb choke.

Hey Lynn, I got your part today, thanks a lot for the effort, however it is the wrong part. I'm not sure how to describe the part better, it's the hexigonal metal or plastic part that screws into the carb body, not the rubber sealer gasket that snaps onto it. I'll try to post a picture of it sometime soon.
The closest I've come to finding one online is the link that Lynn put up to the kawasaki carb part on bike bandit, the piece I'm looking for looks like part number 16012A, but I'm not positive that's the one I'm looking for.
Does anyone have one of these laying around on a spare rack of carbs? I'm willing to negotiate for a fair price on one of these little buggers, I can't find one anywhere. Thanks so much for your help, especially Lynn, hopefully I can get one of these soon.

I know this is an old thread, but I broke the same part on my GS450LF and I thought this may help someone else.

The part I broke is black plastic, has a hole through the middle for the choke plunger, 14mm hex on one end and what appears to be 1/2-20 threads on the the other.

Part number 16012, as found on a 1985 Kawasaki 454 LTD, does indeed fit in my GS450LF.
