Kinda Urgent exhaust question

will, 1980 gs 1000 after market 4 into 1 header fit on a 1979 gs1000 motor, do they have the same exhause port sizes?

can you fit a gs 1100 16v 4 into 1 header on a 1979 head, will the ports match?

According to dennis kirks catalog a V&H meg system will fit GS1000/E/G/GL "L"/L//S models '78-80. So I would assume any others more than likely would also. As for any 16 valve models, I don't think so.

I had a 4 in 1, from a "78" GS 1000 on a "80" GS 1100 E. The port size & spacing was a good match, but the pipe stuck way out to the side and way low. Very little ground clearence on the right. I didn't try any mods to make it fit better, as I was only borrowing it.

I'm running a gs1000 2v pipe on my 02 1200 Bandit. Spacing is the same on most Suzukis. You have to try it to see how it fits. I had to move my oil cooler out a couple of inches to clear the header, but it was well worth it because I did jetting at the same time & the power increase was amazing.

i just won me a old yosh pipe that sez it will fit 1000's and 1100's so i will just see how it goes, if no dice back to ebay it goes.

nj so basicly what you are saying is a bandit pipe may fit a gs 1000 since it works the other way?
