To many nipples

Hi,
I'm new to the forum and love the information. I need to point out I have not got my repair manual yet (oops). I'm trying to get my 82 1100 roadworthy. I have figured out where all hose/nipple connections go from carbs to engine, and petcock to carbs. Where does the nipple on the float mechanism go?

assuming that you are talking about the gas tank sending unit (float) the hose is routed down to the rear of swingarm towards the ground. It is for gas tank overflow.

Please excuse my ignorance,but yes it is the sending unit. Of all my bikes this a first for having a gas gauge. Shoot it's the first with a complete dash, complete with a kick stand indicator! 8O Thank you for the help, the bike will be up and runnin tommorow.

Actually, it's not for gas tank over flow, it is a catch basin in case the sending unit leaks. The gas tanks over flow . . . well . . . all over the gas tank.
