It's always nice when Skip comes to visit

Oh and I've used a Metzler on this bike to, I think the 55, great tire for traction, but man I burnt that sucker off faster then I could get a new one shipped. I'd have to have a $5000 tire budget.

With the Metz's, I can scrape parts at will. With the Demon, I dont even try............I know where that would end up. :-)

    Thanks :-)

At the drag strip I learned to heat up the 501 to maintain traction, where the 205 I don't need to. I also lift my front wheel instead of spin the tire. I ride in all weather, and have never noticed a problem, though I ride much more conservatively in wet conditions. They have a great feel in the corners, and I've gotten to scrape parts without having a hint of the tire being at it's limit.

Then there's the fact that I have 10k on it, and I now need to replace it.

I love the D205, best tire I've ever had. The only bummer for most of the GS's is that it only goes as small as 140, which limits it to 1150's, or a new wheel.

I know that feeling. I change oil around 1500 miles and filter every other time, and I never get to the 2nd oil change with a Metz. :-) Its pretty bad when the tire wears out quicker than the oil filter is changd. heh I go through 10-12 rear Metz's a year and 2-3 fronts, so my tire bill averages about $100 a month. :-)

I'd highly recommend the Dunlop 505 as well. My 81 has that on the rear and an F24 on the front. Love 'em so much that they will go on the 83 as soon as I burn up the Metzlers.

Earl, it must be the Teddy Bear.

My "Baby Bear" seems to love the Pirelli's. I've hit rain a couple times and the twisties last sunday (dry) and so far not 1 incident of them breaking loose or slipping at all.

I'm very happy with them. However, I've no where near the HP that Teddy has.

If they last a while, this may be my tire of choice.

Well Jethro, I know you're not an always upright at 40 mph HD pilot, so I'll assume the grip well when leaned over to scraping angles. :-) How is the milage on them? How do you feel about them in the rain? Down south, anything I use has to be good in the rain even to the point of giving up some performance in the dry.
