Looks like a custom made sprocket cover out of anodized aluminum? I would try APE to see if it is thiers. -
It is a bearing support plate. it keeps you from tearing the output shaft out of the cases on drag bikes. I think that is an old kosman not made any more PMFR still has one. plus they can be custom made by a bike fabricator pretty easy.

That makes more sense! I've wondered how old-school drag bikes put that kind of horsepower down without destroying thier output shaft especially with offset sprockets.Comment

that is an older gs....if your chain cover is the same as an 80-83 1100 you are in business....sit down before they give you the price...

NO- Imean olderthan that Kat-'78 gs 1000 block is what I'm workn with.It isn't final yet though.I guess i could take another couple weeks and find a newer 1100 block to start from.YEA then i can go even BIGGER than 1238cc!!!
