88 GSXR 750 but I believe the Bandit has the same Brakes,
I was told by others who have done this mod that there needs to be
shims on the back to centre the calipers on the discs,
I dont beleive this is really needed as my Original calipers were exactly the same and show the same ware, and position on the brake pads

revised had to change leaky resevoir
allso I took the black paint off the Gas cap and emery clothed the top just using the cloth in one direction to crate a grain it looks good its like a brushed finish that matched the renthals,
Ive decided Im gonna do the same to the outer cases to

actually all I did was pull my old GS1150 smashed clocks apart
and push the relevent bulb holders in to the relvent positions on the GSXR clocks
and trim the redundancies off , temp gauge, gear position, etc
the clocks then used the same connector as the original GS and plugged
right in to the main harnes...That way I didnt have to cut in to the GS harnes at all

I wish I could do that with my katana but the plugs are completely diff. I haven't pulled anything apart yet though.
The kat only has one plug for all and the gsxr has a couple. Haven't looked at it too closely but now I seem to have some time I may do that.

I've considered doing the brake swap, how do you like the performance? Are they much better?

                Hey Joe,

Can you measure those calipers for overall width and the distance from the rotor centerline to the inner face of the caliper? I would love to have better calipers on my 82 1100E, but there is not much room between the calipers and the wheel spokes to get a 4 piston unit in there. How do yours measure up?

                  Hey Joe,

What year are those instruments, how are they mounted & what did you use for a headlight?
I'm looking to get rid of my bulky gauges for something more streamlined & yours look great.

I think the gages were from a 88 GSXR and they mounted beleive it of not right on the Standard GS1150 clock mounts, the GSXR clocks have a frame made from 1/4 inch steel rod, and the mounts lined right up, Im thinking of swaping them out for the same style but with white faces.

IM not totaly sure but Ive only heard the the four pot caliper swap on the GS1150, the forks more or less were Identical to the GSXR just longer though

To run renthals I had to use a GS1100L clutch cable
the brakes are a whole lot better Just from running SS braided brake lines the gsxr callipers I guess make a diferance but I wouldnt bother if your not gonna go with stainless steel brake hoses
