That's just great!
First it's the Jr Dragster kicking my butt, and now we got snowmobiles. Whats next granny in her scooter
I bet my GSX Limited SeaDoo would kick his butt if I'd could only figure out how to mount some wheels on her.1166cc 1/8 ET 6.09@111.88

Someone was telling me that this was the first snowmobile to run in the 7's. A new world record. All at our little track.
I don't think you need to worry about the snowmobiles getting that far south. Unless there is no snow and they sell them real cheap. In that case you may want to try one yourself.
I look at them and think, man is that thing going to roll if anything happens. I think they look at the bikes and think, man am I glad my sled is so wide and low to the ground, those bike look way too dangerious. The car guys look at anyone not in a car as having some sort of mental problem.

I am not sure what to say about the Jr's. They are big around here as well, but they never run outside of their own class. It's good that they let the kids enjoy some sort of racing sport. I just wish that IHRA and NHRA had programs like this for motorcycles.

Just have FUN !
Don't worry about the guy next to you, fast or slow.
Just make runs and tune the bike as needed.

Take it easy till you get used to the glue they use on the starting line. Leave like your leaving a stop sign at first. Then slowly start going faster and faster. It's addictive.

A new drag member in the making? Have fun!!
Things I see people do wrong their first time....
Don't stage your back wheel.
Dont use the center of the lane.
Don't wear tennis shoes & blue jeans, even if they allow it.
If your on a street bike with street tires, it will be like riding on ice. Be careful.

I'm tired of rain. We've been rained out the past three weeks in a row. I'm tied for first with one week left. The bike is running good. Last week before the rain I went 9.89 9.89. I went out today for a special car event to get a couple time trials in. Ran 9.82, 9.84 and 9.84. Next week will tell the tale.

Well I had my first run at the 1/8 today best time was 60' 2.493 330' 6.116 660 9.345 76.75 mph need to do some jetting work it was running very lean and play with the sprocket ratio I could not get off the line cleany it would bog down and i was launching at 7500/8000rpm but at least now I have some data to play with for next time. You got a baseline now to work with. I'd work on the carbs first, get them jetted first then move on to the gearing. BTW what size jets and what size engine are you running.1166cc 1/8 ET 6.09@111.88

Well Jake the motor is out 2 1199 with wiseco slugs and the jetting is still standard 120.5 and 122.5 mains it's still running the standard exhaust but it has the air box removed and has pods instead and it has a mild Web cam in Richard

I think you need at least 150 Mikuni jets. Then you should be running low 7's, maybe high 6's and be around 100 mph with alittle tuning.
Shift that puppy between 9 to 10K and try a 14T sprocket and hang on.
