Wow Ryan, you keep getting faster and faster 8O

Had the bike in the back of my truck today near the airport for alittle timing check and full throttle on the 2 step. She didn't bogg when I was at WOT, so I should be o-kay when I get back to the track.

They do have a much better throttle response compared to my CV's.

I just have mine fixed. I would like to add a Dyna or other advancer, or just get that Schnitz ignition but it would not do anything for me right now. Too many other problems to sort out.

You like that wind do you??? Sorry you went out first round. Will you be at Norwalk this weekend to watch?

Got the new cover. Pulled the pack. Like those burned spots?

The stack for the year. A lot of burned up parts for as little as it was used.

The new cover and another pack.

The clutch sits in way deep. Need to stuff a rag in there before working on anything. Also the cover makes it harder to pull the pack. Not sure if it is going to save me a whole lot of time.

      Still need the oil cap.

I like the cable on it. Much shorter and less bends. Very smooth.

That is a real hard place to post a dial. Only time trial there was a real strong head wind and I got into the bumps near the center line. Ran a 9.91@130. Saturday with alot better air and stayed in the groove ran the 9.68. The guys that race there all the time have a big advantage.

I will be at Thompson Saturday. King of the track race. Have to pull the box back off.

        That motor looks good.

          King of the track?

          9.68 is a great time!!!

I was testing a few weeks back and started drifting to the wall towards the end and got into something. Not a good feeling. My friend who went down was running about 140. The bike (less rider) went through at 137 and he ended up about 150' pass the traps. Now that was a ride.

We leave for Norwalk on Thursday for the IHRA finals. All no-box bike class. Two bikes are in. Should be a good time. I will try and get some pictures.

King of the track is an NHRA race for a wally. I won it last year. 2 classes down to 1 winner.

I got my hands on a slider today. I have a friend with his motor currently apart. I really think I can use the clutch to lock it up. Some custom machining, but I think it can be done. I'll need to switch my crank to an 1100 straight cut gear plus buy the slider. After looking the slider over I'm excited about it. I'll start working on it as soon as I'm done racing for the year.

Made 9 runs in 4 hours and six of those were 1.38's 60's. so the clutch is set pretty good. Did have a fuel issue on the first two runs seems that when I got down to the end of the track to make a u-turn back to the pits the bike would run rought. Look down and the bowls were empty. I let the gas get to low in the tank and when I got on the brakes all the fuel would rush forward of the petcock and strave the lectrons.

So I added some more fuel and it solved the problem. I was running 102 and they were out of it so 110 went in and I know my bike will loose one tenth. Anyhow I did run a 6.16 again with the electrons they were still rich at idle so I back out the needle one turn and boy did that raise the idle rpm. and ran four 6.20's. Make's me think of what 93 octane would do???

So I need to do some more tuning and learning with these carbs, I really like being able to look at the fuel bowls at the end of the track and adjusting the needles was a piece of cake too.

So the first time out I'm happy with them. Oh yeah one thing I'm going to buy the right throttle assy cause I have to almost wrap my hand twice around it to get to WOT

Well the old girl is running much better with 150 main jets thanks Jake I had about 30 runs over two days with the best being a 7.47 there computer was not working so that is the only info on the time card would of been nice to get the mph and the rest of the break down talked to a few of the regulars and they run .3 to .4 faster at other tracks than they do here so maybe my time es are getting closer two the 7.2 be nice to think that any way well I moving house this week end so I wont be around for a while but I will post again when I have my next run not in the to near future i hope

I like the Lectrons. My friends use them on all their bikes and they have great results. All setup by FBG.

I am pretty happy with the HSR Mikuni. I have it dialed close enough to chalk up the pipe and can pull 22 pounds of boost down the track with no problems.

                  How did the King do????

Norwalk was a good time. Maybe 800 cars and 80 bikes. Some very impressive equipment showed up. There was a Kawasaki there that I watched pick the whole back end up when it shifted into second. I think maybe four rear ends blew, at least one transmission and some other stuff I am sure. I didn't see any bikes not make it down the track.
We broke a slider hat after three runs, but it was one that I had tried to repair. Had a spare spare so no big deal. I did not see who won the event but I talked to the guy who I think may have. I tugged on his ear for while and got a lot of good information to help be out. This guy ran basically a stock GS engine in the 7.90s. No NOS. With NOS he had it into the 7.50s. Electric start. I guess he was planning to sell the bike and build something new.

Does anyone have a valve cover for the 1150 they want to get rid of?

Only two more weekends of fun.

                              No luck finding a cover.

Last crack at the track this weekend. I got the new ignition on and plan to try it out before winter sets in. Got the 1150 head back today from FBG also. They do some nice work. Still searching for a valve cover for it. So the higher pressures will have to wait for next year. Did manage to get the 1100 head a bit over 20 PSI without coming apart.

I'm selling off a few of my drag parts on eBay if anyone is needing them. Good stuff. The MSD is a bit old, but VERY effective. It even comes with some actual dirt, rubber and oil from my bike, with no additional cost!!
