:? A collar or spacer long enough to go from one end of the gsxr rim to the other. inner diamiater of your original axle - outer diameter of your new rim.
Take it all (new rim and old axle) to a machine shop and try ta get a hook-up.
Good Luck, it'll look nice once completed.
or
:? possible change the bearings in the gsxr rim to the size of your currnet axle? Be nice if your old bearings would just plop-in. I'm not sure enough to know if it would work or not. :?
or
:P Sell it all to me cheap, I like GS700's 8)

im goin to look into the spacer to make the axle fit.. i know the bearings from my 700 will not fit into the gsxr rim..but if i can get bearings that will fit in the new rim and that have the right diameter for the stock axle i would be set...im goin to look into this option also..last resort would be to use the axle from the gsxr and just enlarge my swingarm axle slots to fit..then i would have to get the gsxr axle cut down and rethreaded since its about 3 inches too long..

Measure the bearing that you need (OD for the wheel, ID for the axle, and the bearing width) and check with a bearing supply store. You should be able to come up with one that will work.

if you go with the smaller diameter (ie stock) axle, then you'll probably need to have a bushing made for the caliper hanger as it's made to fit the larger GSXR axle.

unfortunatly my gs bearings are 47mm OD and the gsxr rim that i have is 42mm OD..i know that the 90's gsx and gsxr's share the same bearing OD as our gs's do...but i dont want to go and buy new rims, if i have to them ill look on ebay

Sounds like the same size as the GS700 front wheel bearings. Not sure if the 700 axle sizes front and rear are the same anymore though.

yeah the front wheel bearings have a 42mm OD but the ID is 15mm..i asked a machine shop if they could bore a set of those bearings out 2mm..they said they could do it for me..monday ill know for sure if they will do it..
