Seems like it should be higher.

I also thought it seemed low for a modded 1150? I'm fairly certain Earl's stock 1150 produces about 10 more HP than that? Something isn't right if that is so.

yeah, well, maybe it runs a bit rich, the pipe is black...

it's only 15 less rwhp than the stock busa that was there...

I'm pretty certain a stock 1150 dosen't make that much power. As a side note I rode my brothers ZRX Kaw 1200 this weekend. It made my 1150 feel sick. Granted my 1150 has never impressed me as far as power but damn that Kaw would run circles around my Zook. I think my motor is tired and will get a freshen up this winter hopefully. Mike J

yeah, you're lucky if the stock 1150 shows 100 on the dyno...

Below is the stock info, the bike tested, made 112 bhp, and is one of the lower stock bhp dyno charts I've seen

My modded 1150, (1229cc 1mm over valves, street ported, Dyna ignition, G4 cams, pods, RS38s, and V&H megaphone pipe) made around 150 bhp before the nitrous kicked in.

                    I think Earl's 1150 makes around 125, but I'm not sure.

I knew the truth was out there somewhere?
And was most likely somewhere between what others
                      and myself were saying

                      Thanks Luke.

How about Earl, Dink? You guys own these bikes too. Whats the scoop mates

We had a 1150 engined Katana on the Dyno a while ago, stock motor but CR carbs and 4-2-1 pipe just slapped on made 110 rwhp, about what they did stock.

135 rwhp isnt bad, it aint great either. It would appear it is possibly due to running rich, as the torque figure sounds well down on what it should be, having said that I have never had mine anywhere near a dyno, and it is completelt stock, motor never been opened with approx 55k miles on it,and I know my "lightly tuned" Katana makes it feel weak.

Sounds like your 1150 ain't so bad after all Bert

Maybe a little more tuning? Is it smokey at all?

On that test report they said that the 1150 ran 10.78 stock. I found a conversion chart from 1/4 to 1/8. 10.78 came out to 6.81 in the 1/8. I'm way off that time. Can anyone else confirm those times as being legit? Mike J
