    fork specs

    Hi!
I'm currently looking for a fork brace for my -85 Gs1100GK. I sent a mail to SuperBrace and this is the answer I got :

Do know if there is bike that has similar forks? I do know that we manufacture braces for all GS 500 E’s. Could you email the size of the forks in MM and the distance between the forks? If so, that would be helpful.

    Thanks for your interest,

Can anyone here help me with this ?? I'm not able to get the measures from my own bike.

    Thanks,
    Zmike

I saw a nice Micron fork brace on Ebay for a GS750 just last night with the dimensions posted. It might fit, http://cgi.ebay.com/MICRON-FORK-BRAC...QQcmdZViewItem.

I just bought a Telefix (German) fork brace off of Ebay

I just recently bought a Telefix fork brace off of Ebay for $62. This is for my stock 83 GS1100E. The fork brace is fully adjustable unlike many newer fork braces. This eliminates any stiction problems due to the forks not being exactly to new bike specs. You can buy them new through this German guy at wild hair accessories http://www.whaccessories.com The cost will be around $170. It really stiffens up the front end for better stability on cornering. It also amplifies any alignment problems you may have so make sure you align your front and rear wheels so you are running true.
