Well.. because the stock shock is a damper rod design the rebound is much stiffer than it should be, so that the compression damping is somewhat close to what it should be.
You need about three times as much compression damping as rebound damping. The GSXR shock actually seems to have equal or less rebound damping, but the compression damping is stronger at slow speeds. However the GSXR shock also has high speed and low speed damping... So it's very, very difficult to compare the two.You'd have to be crazy to be sane in this world -Nero
