Why, it looks mean as it sit's.

All you need is a V&H pro pipe then she'll sound as mean as she looks.

              Nice Job \/ \/

I know you'll want to avoid speed bumps with that pipe but I'd keep it like it is. That thing looks mean. My bike sits a little bit lower than stock and my exhaust hits every speed bump I come across. Just avoid parking lots. I have to admit it sure is a lowrider. I got to get me another bike and see what you put on yours and attempt my own conversion. I keep seeing more and more people converting to later model components and I think it's cool looking. Good job man.

Here's what it looks like. It's a drag pipe and boy is it loud. Don't know if V&H make's a baffle for it, but if you want to *@%^$*@%^$*@%^$*@%^$off the neighbor's this pipe will do it. It sounds real sweet at 10K

You also have to modified the brake and maybe go with a 16 inch front wheel.

Duke, Looks fantastic. Can you explain how the headlight is mounted to the large diameter forks. What did you use for the fork ears if you don't mind saying. The part connected to the headlight bucket looks like the stock unit. Ive been looking at the ones off an 05 DR-Z 400 super moto but I think it would bring the headlight bucket too close to the forks.

Keep up the great work. By the way I too followed Katman's lead (thanks) on modding a 1200 Bandit swingarm. I also have mounted a set of 96 GSXR1100 forks. I currently have my shock mounts in about the same place as you but I'm having them cut off and re-welded about 2' further forward. I'm concerned about speed bumps as well.

When I started the conversion I had 5.5" to the lowest point of my Yosh header. As it sits right now I've got about 3.5"-4". The old header had many dings from sh#t I hit at 5.5".

isleoman that is the stock bucket and ears. i just ground off the rings that go over the forks, 4 hose clamps. place the hose clamps inside so you cant see the tightening bolts , looks pretty good. i looked everywhere for ears to fit the large forks without success

RJ is that the Sidewinder? That header looks so cool. 8) I have a Bassani on my bike w/o the baffle. It slid out the pipe on the freeway. #-o I like the sound and you are right it does tic off a neighbor or two. Actually the HD crowds bikes are pretty much as loud until you hit 7 0r 8 grand. 8O What a sound.
