    Carb Rebuild Question

I'm going to start tackling my carbs on my '77 GS750.
I'm planning on staying stock for now and I was wondering what kits
I need and where I can get them. Also, if I do plan on changing maybe
the airbox to pods, do I need a rejet?

you can get the rebuild kits on e-bay. Or check with your local dealer. I used K&L kits for my 1000. They seem fine. And yes, you would probably need to re-jet if using pods (I had to).

Depending on the shape your carbs are in you can probably get away without using a kit. My 450 had sat outside for at least three years with gas in it. I just tore down the carbs and soaked everything that wasn't rubber in carb dip (Berrymans's, great stuff). I cleaned all the passages with wire from a wire brush and now the thing runs like new.

      YMMV.

Agreed. If your parts are good, just get some new o rings http://www.cycleorings.com/ and your done. If you are going to do the pods, you might want to consider getting your jet kit and do it all at once. That will save you from setting up and tuning the carbs twice.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll be ordering those O-rings!
