The track was going to open today

But it's in the 20's with icy roads. Looks like I'll be waiting until next weekend for another go.

Let's see, bigger intake valve's, new chain, relocated electric soleniod to the air ram and shifting at 10.6K now. That should be good for at least .02 don't you think.

I've been up there in that cold weather before and you guys can keep it. I hate it when that air is blowing off of lake Erie, I'm a southern weanie.

I can remmeber one time marching to mid night tech school wearing a ski mask and carrying a lackland laser at Chanute. The wind chill was only 65 below zero that night and we all looked like popsicle's after our 30 min march.

Of all places to run Seattle had about 20 bikes show up for their first race on Sunday. I didn't feel like the 3 hr drive for race temp of 36. Now it is snowing a little there. northwestdragbike.com

36? F? I tried a few passes last Fall with track tamps in the low 50's and spun the entire 1/4. I have some work to do still before this season.

Jake, no mention of the nitrous. Did you give up on it?

Still got the nitrous and it's set up for a 36hp shot. I want to crack the 5's first. Plus I don't have a bottle heater yet so I'd be chasing that 900 psi mark during these cool night's.

But come summer time she'll be bottle feed.

AAhhhh. Famoso. Been there did that. Do they still store a big ol' pile of fertilizer next door to the track? Last time I was there (13 yrs ago) I was there for a 3 day event and when nighttime came the smell of the fertilizer would become apparent then awhile later the bugs would come out. Oh the memories.

It hasn't changed a bit....Still the big 'ole pile of farmland fertilizer (-:

There were probably 1000 cars and about 6 bikes. The bikes ran 9.30's and up. I was dissapointed. I haven't been out since the early 80's but the small tire bike I built ran 9.30's back then and these were car tire bikes...Oh well
