Scratch that, my Mikuni guide shows the same jetting for each carb size between GS and KZ model carbs. So you can expand your search for KZ intended RS's.

I put a set intended for (used on) a 1300cc KZ and after minor adjusting they worked fine ,actually great. Most of any differences that I've found is like air jet sizes and the like. Check out Mikuni or Sudco or Star or the like and you can see the Differences. I know you don't want the ones intended for later water cooled models. Hope this gets you started in the right direction.

KZ and GS RS flatslides share the same spacing and come jetted exactly the same from Mikuni.

Way back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth and Mikuni 29mm Smoothbore carbs were popular there was a similar dilema. As I understand it, the cabrs for the KZs and GSs were jetted similarly except there were different slides. The Suzuki carbs had a 2.0 slide while the Kawasaki carbs had the 1.5 slide.

I've found both slides interchangeable on both bikes and never noticed a difference. In all different motor sizes and stages of tune.

But they were different. Might be something subtle like this.

*grins* I'm toying with the idea of getting a set of kz1300 carbs to canabilize and put on skreemers 550... 32mm carbs instead of 30mm.

I know the 33mm Mikuni smoothbores are interchangable between the GS and the KZ. The spacing is exactly the same. In fact, the Pro Stock 2V head that is used professionally is the same for both the GS and the KZ because they both have the same bore spacing.

Yeah I installed them on my slant six Dodge Dart.
Actually I should have inserted the word "kit" between 1300cc and kz. Yes there are 4 carbs on the rack and they are 40mm RS's. It's amazing how a small omission like that could cause a rather large difference. Oops on my part. But they doooo wake up the 1100. I just hope the rain stays away long enough for me to see how good they really are and do some unsupervised acceleration trials. Boohoohahaha.

I bought 34 mm Mikuni carbs from a Kawa 750..the choke pulls out from the side.
