Order some 20 inch nos lines, tap and a set of 24 size funnel jets from Schnitz's today. Going to try the 24/20 jets before i relocate the nozzle's. Those are rated at 60hp and where they are now I'm thinking that will get me 36hp's.
Just another good old test and tune thing1166cc 1/8 ET 6.09@111.88

We may go to a different track tomarrow to do a little testing. The main track is closed this weekend for Father's Day.
I thought the gear looked a little small. I heard of a lot of guys running these before I picked up a wrench again. I heard some stories about broken gears using this combination. Your still trying to use the modified multi-stage lock-up?
Jake, I told you wrong. You asked me about splinned parts in the crank and I told you there were none. This is not true (in some cases). Went to a friends house today and he was showing me some damaged crank parts and sure enough, they were splinned. Not the pin where the rod rides, but on the main bearing pin. I am not sure when they started doing this. I wonder if they started this in the 1150s. I will ask next week when I check on the eBay crank.
None of us bought that 1100 virgin unwelded crank or cases? Damm those were a good deal. See a lot of N2O parts on eBay.
We got a call from a friend of ours the other day and he says hes got a friend trying to sell an old GS. He brought it to the track for us to look at. 82 1100E for $500. Bike was in pretty good shape and would have been worth restoring but sorry to say its worth more in parts. Looked like it had been kept inside, wasn't all rusted like some of them. Engine looks like it has never been apart.

For $500 you should buy the bike. heck for $500 I'll buy it.
What a crazy weekend. after the second rime trial I heard some funny squeeling from the front brakes. Took and look and realized the pads were totally gone. Oh crap. Grabbed the busa and rode home. Grabbed an old set that came off a year and a half ago and rode back. Put them on and started racing. Went four rounds for the win. Whatever luck I'm having right now I hope it never goes away.
I really like the multi stage. It is very smooth. I'm running a couple of the arms with no counter springs and the rest with some custom springs I got at the hardware store. Bike went 131-133 60' all day. In the final it went a 1.315. I'm not touching it it's working perfectly.

Ok Jake, I talked with the crank man. He is telling me that all the Suzuki's are splinned on the main bearings. I must just not have been paying close enough attention.
We drug the old bike home that same day. Just need the title and then we will pull it apart.

We will keep the head, crank, cases, transmission and thats about it. It would have made a nice street bike but the parts are just so hard to come by anymore . We have two exploded engines and only one set of cases.
I got the scoop on the eBay crank. I guess the rods have some step damage. The plus side is that it was a virgin crank, never tore down and the welds had poor penitration. She's getting 4 new 493 Kat rods, rod bearings, one main, gear and a new stock big end.

Ok Jake, I brought home a few parts to show you. We suspect that the parts that did not have the splines were from Falicon. This is a guess. It would also explain why the company doing our cranks now made the comment about all the part numbers being the same and all having splines. My guess is that if Falicon did make these parts they did not use the splines because it would make a stress point. This may have been what split that last crank in half. Again, I have no idea what I am talking about so take it for what its worth. The best thing would be to contact Falicon. Sorry I could not be more helpful.

lady luck kicked me in the junk
Well it looks like lady luck left me. And kicked me in the junk on the way out the door.
Raced a street bike first round. He said he was dialing 11.50. Put it in the box and then pulled back up to him and asked 11.50 right. He said yes. They let streetbikes just tell the dial in to the starter. We'll when he went to the starter he told them 11.55. When we pulled up I looked at my dial, but not his. OOPS. Of couse I go red. Took me a couple minutes to figure out what happened. Learned a very valuable lesson. Check both dial ins.
Oh and a pro-stock sled came out. he was making licensing runs. Ran in the 8's at over 150. Check it out. http://media.putfile.com/pro-stock-sledLast edited by Guest; 07-01-2006, 10:37 PM.
