On the inlet side, or manifold side?

Was thinking on the manifold side. I read somewhere that if they're on the inlet side it messes up the a/f ratio. The easies way is just to poke some holes in the radiator hose and use some big grommets with some monkey glue and screw the nozzles in.

This is how I did my first one. Two holes in each and siliconed them in place. Blew the carbs off more than once on that bike.

Notice on DB that your buds were trying to get you to the 1/4 mile track. You should try it at least once before the old girl give up the ghost.

Thunder Nationals this weekend. I will get some video this time.

Those guys are pretty cool. A few run the PMRA races too. Before I head out of state I'll run the 1/4 mile down in San Angelo. Don't want to travel 400 miles just to find out something is not right.

Speaking of NOS, it's not like I was talking about but since I had my sipper cups why not give it a try.
Still need to mount the fuel pump and run the line.

Looks good to me. I have seen people spay into the carbs like this but I have never tried it. Did you make up a way to fuel the bike without pulling the tank?

400 miles is a bit too far to go racing. How far is the San Angelo track? We are driving about 70 miles now.

The Thunder Nationals was x'ed this weekend because of the weather. So I get to stay home with the wife and dog for a change. Maybe I will mow the lawn between rain showers. The drag bike is still sitting idle. Not even a driveway hole shot with it.

              Thanks Mark

If it makes the lectrons rich when the nos is on I guess I'll just drop the needle's more. As for refueling i can go 3 runs but I still recharge the air shifter bottle after each run, so I just remove the shell and top off the tank and leave if off for awhile cooling the engine.

A friend hooked me up with a air pressure cut-out switch and I'm hoping this helps with my shifting. Had a few more mis-shifts tonight but did have a best run of 6.0051 at 114.39 mph. Just to ensure a good shift I let the bike nose over going from 1st to 2nd so that was another close one.

San Angelo is about 80 miles so it's doable in one day.

To bad about the wearther up there, hope it's turns out better next time for you. You could always post some more pic's of your bike to pass the time 8-)

The MPH is very close to my bike. I have had it to the track seven times now and the fastest was 118.37 with a 2.0981 short!!! LOL I really would like to spend some more time with it to get things sorted out. Every time I take it, it gets a little closer and I think I finally understand the clutch on it.

I was using oem springs in the lockup and no bolts on the arms at the track on Friday. I just swapped out the oem springs last night with #46 lbs, and still no weight on the arms. Going back out on Thursday night to see what it will do along with the ignition air cut-out switch.

Trying to see if I can catch up to Ryan

Don't try to catch me I'm going the other way. Air was really bad with all the rain all around us. Somehow we got it in. Supposedly the only track in Ohio. Most people just stayed home. Ran 9.64 and later a head wind picked up so I dialed up. Went 69 on a 67. Couple rounds later the wind went away and it ran a 64 in the final. He red light so I ran it out. Guy on a sled had a 499 red and ran 11.315 on an 11.31. He was kicking himself. My light was only a 551. The clutch was starting to slip pretty bad and I wasn't getting that really hard snap off the line. I'm wondering if the slow light was due to the clutch. Jake anyone? I've got 1.030 in the box right now. First light of the day was a 506 and then they slowed down from there. 540, 527, 512, 529, 529, 551. I'm thinking I should ignore the first bulb of the day and set the box off the others.

The only really bad part of the night was one of the regulars crashed his dragbike. An 8.80 bike. He got into some bumps after the finish and somehow lost it. Probably went down at almost 140. The ambulance guys weren't watching and they sent me and another 8.90 bike down on top of them. I cross the finish line to see a bike in my lane and 2 people standing in the track one waving his arms. He messed his hand up bad, but other than that he was up walking around. Gonna try and give him a call later.

Man..... that could of been you too crashed on top of him. I thought the folks up in the tower should be on the lookout for something just like that. Glad your OK, that can be a shocker at 140 mph.

On my box I run 1.060 to 1.080

Here's my RT's from last Friday, last one was a red lite. It was T&T and I wasn't really focusing on cutting a good one. We just switched over to .000 is a prefect light, makes dial in's alot easier to figure out. We also have crosstalk too and it's alittle strange to see a faster racer sitting there waiting and waiting for that 2nd bulb to lite. But I like it cause I can just watch my tree now. We also use the LED bulbs and that took awhile to get used to them.

I think it could be a few things like,

Thumb still asleep (pun) I wear some thick gloves and my thumb really doesn't feel the switch all that much, thinking of trying differant ones for more feel.

                          Oil is still cold

Clutch pack may expand due to heat and lockup better

Wheel bearings getting warmer and rotate easier

Your slick has been heat cycle and get stickier during runs

The track is starting to come around, more traction

Or if your like me, I'm just slow on the first go until I get my mind into the game. After that first run I'm awake and good to go.

They took his pinkie at the second nuckle. I guess the handlebar smashed it into the ground when the bike went over. Other than being sore he's fine. Thinking about going to work tomorrow. Maybe thats the pain meds talking. Funny to say, but I think he was lucky. Could have been alot worse.

Thats to bad, I guess it could of been alot worst. At least he can say he has something incommon with Ken Schrader.

If I had to loose a body part that be the one or maybe the little toe.

Back to your clutch slipping when it get hot. Maybe you need to go up more on the static pressure.

When Greg fell off last summer he has a similar problem. When they took the glove off they found he had a pressure cut on one finger that required a few stitches. There was no damage to the glove in this area. They think it was from hitting the asphalt so hard.

Glad to hear this was all that happened to your friend. Was this at Thompson?
