    Carb Float Level

What is the proper float level for a 1982 GS850G with 28mm needle jets? We're at 21 mm now and it will idle, but not much else.

Your problem most likely isn't the float heights. Improper float heights will casue a bike to run rich or lean, but I've been off quite a bit before and it will run. Not sure what the 850 G float height is, but I'll bet 21mm is pretty close.

I'd bet you're right. We just pulled the fuel line and started draining the tank and its going A LOT slower than it ought. I think the guy I bought the bike from tried to Kreem his tank and fudged it, plugging the bottom up with 9 kinds of sludge.

      Thanks for your help.
