Carb Float Level
What is the proper float level for a 1982 GS850G with 28mm needle jets? We're at 21 mm now and it will idle, but not much else.Tags: None

Your problem most likely isn't the float heights. Improper float heights will casue a bike to run rich or lean, but I've been off quite a bit before and it will run. Not sure what the 850 G float height is, but I'll bet 21mm is pretty close.Currently bikeless

I'd bet you're right. We just pulled the fuel line and started draining the tank and its going A LOT slower than it ought. I think the guy I bought the bike from tried to Kreem his tank and fudged it, plugging the bottom up with 9 kinds of sludge.
Thanks for your help.
