back on topic though. If I run the emgo filters(which I currently have) and my j.c. Whitney mufflers, just how bad will my mix be ? If emgos are that restrictive, wouldn't that be close to an airbox? With the emgos and the stock mufflers it ran great. No popping or pinging. Or is my best bet quality filters and a jet kit?as a side note it ran that good after moving the needle up a notch.

st. 3 jet kit and middle of the road air filters will be fine.
there are some k&n look a likes being sold that are non cleanable but seem to work very well.
i think there around 60 a set for 4 offset ovals.
check with jay @ ape or don plesser from pr factory store.
if 7 or 10 dollar air filters worked ok then k&n would never sell another set for 120 or so..
