    Tire Choice

    Hi all,

    really quick:

Is it ok to have a slightly stickier tire in the back than in the front?

my front is not due for a change yet (it still has excellent tread depth and is new)

Yes it should be OK, the thing to remember is to keep them matched by the type of tire, IE: Both being Radials or Bias Ply. Don't mismatch them this way or you will have a bit of handling trouble. Your bike's performance is all in the hands of the driver...

yeah, im just hoping to increase the handling in the turns a bit better. i'll be switching to a 100/90 in the front when its due, and shortening my L forks by 1" this winter because they are long and make turning more cumbersome..

      thanks.
