rear caliper 80-82 differences
Hi everyone, I'm about to clean the rear caliper on my 1000g 1980. I also have a 1100g 1982 caliper in good condition, tried without the pad it seems to change perfectly, but is there a difference in performance? Why does it only have one bleed and the 1980 has two? sorry my english, google translatorYou do not have permission to view this gallery.

All the rear calipers are opposed
piston and use the same size pads in my experience. No performance differences although some are slightly heavier than others.
main difference is brake line location (although you might want to check caliper offset from mount too, I don’t know if some of them might be different).
reason for two bleed screws is the brake line location. Otherwise you’d get an air pocket. The other caliper has a straighter path all the way from line through the pistons.1980 GS1000G - Sold
