Where to find bulk stainless brake line.

Quick question for you guys- does anybody know a good internet source for bulk stainless steel brake line and fittings? I just did a google search and after an hour I gave up. Seems like I should have been able to find something pretty easy, but I struck out.

I'm new here and I've really found this site informative. I'm running a pair of GS750s, a '77 and a '78, both of which could use a brake overhaul.

Do a Google search on "Earl's brake line".
I've made my own brake lines before with good results. Fair bit cheaper than purchasing pre-made lines also which is a bonus.

try an ebay user by the name of race basics, I'm running his stuff on my bike and the quality is excellent. You have to get stainless steel brake lines of the length you need with #3 an fittings, then order the banjo bolts from Parts unlimited. they're about $5 or 6 bucks a piece. I ordered 42" lines and just ran both up to the master cylinder with double bolt. Works great. I have $60 in my stainless brake lines. This guy can get what you want even if he doesn't have it on auction, just shoot an email to him.

Thanks guys, that's more than enough info to get me started. Interestingly, I've noticed the older I get, the less concerned I am with how fast my bikes are, and the more concerned I am with how well they handle/stop. I've had a whole fleet of CBs, KZs, and RDs and have never been too impressed with the way those bikes handled. Recently I've bought a pair of two valve GS750s and was actually somewhat impressed with the way they handled, at least compared to their contemporaries. The brakes, however, need as much help as they can get.

Check out www.cyclebrakes.com. They're in Ventura. Very good prices for Galfer SS brake lines. And a super helpful staff to boot. I just ordered custom lines for my '78 GS1000E. They will be made to the lengths I specifed, complete with all fittings, banjo bolts & washers...AND IN THE COLOR I WANTED.

try http://www.spieglerusa.com/ I used to use them when I worked at a dealership. GIve them the specifications that you need and they will make the lines you need. Just tell them what length you need, and what style ends you need, what colors you want, etc.
