I would just call Robenson, FBG or R & D and see what they say. They may even have good used stock gears for you.

I need carb boots to fit my 38 mm RS flatslides to the head. Any thoughts on where to get a set?

It's all looking good. Carb boots are as easy as going to the local napa store. They have straight sections of radiator hose from Dayco or Gates, Just get the appropriate size and cut to length. It seams to me 1 5/8" is what is needed

Been concerned about the fork length and ground clearance ever since this project was started. Apparently my choice of '97 GSXR 750 inverted forks wasn't great as it is not one of the longer sets. That and the 1.25 inches of rolling height lost due to the rim and tire change as well had me concerned that the front end needs to be lengthened. I got 7/8ths of an inch back today by adding a chunk of top clamp to my triple top clamp.
Not the greatest weld but its solid (my tig skills are still developing)
The top of the original clamp could be filled with two turned chunks of aluminum with handle bar brackets incorporated. hmmmmmmmmmmm

Getting the header started. It'll be made from two Hyabusa stock headers.
The first bend on the stock Hyabusa headers were too close to the head so I cut the flanges off, turned the primary pipes upside down welded the flanges back on and presto! the bend that went under the bike gives great clearance at the head on my bike.
The Hyabusa header was 4-2-1 I've cut the collectors and will have slip fit joints to create the 4-1 collector.
