    New ProStock rules

Looks like the 4 valve heads are legal for all cc's again plus you can build a current on the showroom floor dragbike with fuel injection. I guess we can say good bye to the old GS platform. With any luck maybe some of those out date parts will make there way down here at rock bottom prices.

I would have guessed they were running all custom stuff based around the Busa by now. I don't really follow NHRA. But hope your right!

Oh Ya! I hope they all switch over and flood ebay with all sorts of goodies.

Ive noticed alot of the racing efforts already have a Busa based bike waiting in the wings ready to go.

I wonder how well a plain bearing crank would hold up to prostock abuse. I've heard alot of guys who build big high horsepower busa motors wipe the bearings out. the roller crank has an advantage.

I guess we can thank those's HarlyDavidsons for this rule change 3 years in a roll

Maybe they'll put a roller crank in Busa?? Just do all the mods and one offs and get JMC to give you part number and your legal.

Just a few weeks ago I look at a friend Bandit cases's and freak out at the size of the main bearings. Then I remember they don't have roller cranks but boy did they look small.

I just read about the new rules. Can you say an all 6 second field. You can make way more power with a 4 valve head than a 2 valve head. Should make for an interesting year.

I'm not so sure that the GS platform is going to go away because of these rules. What it might do is make it hard for us to find good 4-valve heads. The fuel injection stuff will be a wash I believe...I'm not so sure that it will really give a HP advantage. At the displacements and RPM ranges these motors run at, it's a matter of how much fuel you can dump, not meter, into the cylinders for max HP. If they have an advantage it will be in atomization of the fuel. That roller bearing bottom end on the KZ Kawasakis and GS Suzukis will be hard to beat.

Then again, there are Pro Street Hondas (Kent Stotz's for example, which has run 7.27 @202MPH) that are putting out HP numbers that are not that far off from the Pro Stock numbers and they are using plain bearings.

Actually this should be a good thing...put the "Stock" back into Pro Stock. Now they need to get rid of motorcycles with motors that are designed specifically for the Pro Stock Class (*cough* Harley V-Rod *cough*).

Forgetting about what the top of the engine is & size advantage given to the HD croud IF the HD guys had to use
stock lower end they would never make a complete pass

I wouldn't have guessed that anyone ran a stock bottom end in any PS bike. I would think that even the old Suzuki used a lot of billet parts in the transmission, clutch, crank, after market rods, stronger bearings, etc. I figured the new Suzukis ran all billet cranks plus the other stuff. I really have no idea.

I bet they used to use the stock GS cases though....

Anyone watch that last eBay head go over $400. I paid $250 for my last one. Prices seem to be going the wrong way.

                      1100 or 1150 head? I've got a good 1100 head I want to sell.

There's a 1100 head with 31 intakes that look like they could touch each other. No times on the head so who knows what it would run??

All they got to do is make all the bikes the same cc's and put them all on the rev-limit say 8K too, then it would be fair to the HD's :-({|= then again maybe in a few years they'll have the BOT (bike of tormorrow) like NASCAR

heck maybe I can get a roller crank in my Sporty and run them numbers too

LOL!! I don't know anyone who wanted to see Theyoda or the standard car. I never cared for IROC.

Was looking for a second 1150 head. I still havn't sent out my 1100 head. Was holding off to see if one would show up. Just wanted it for the strength, not the bigger valves.
