GS 1100 cilinders on 1000 crankcases??

    Hello, fella's

I've posted this already in the tech section without results.
So is it possible or not and what is involved: reboring the crankcases to accept the 1100 sleeves or whatever?
    Bye there....

Why not do a 1085 cc overbore job with some new Wiseco pistons? You'd get the same displacement as a GS 1100.

Well I thought about it, but I just found someone whou is parting out a gs 1100 and that will come cheaper than the Wiseco job.

Not to pile on, but in the same vein, out of curiosity. Can one "bolt" on 16 valve pistons, cylinders, and a head from say a GS1100E (16valve ) on a GS1100G (8 valve)crankcase?

NO. There are significant differences in the bolt pattern. if you want a 16 valve shaftie, look for an early nineties GSX1100G.

16 valve blocks will not fit on 8 valve cases. However, with a little work, the entire 16 valve motor will go into the 1000 frame.
