I've always wanted to go to 131.....both my wife and I could have been on the Byron Summit team last year, but we couldn't make it due to work.

I would consider going up, but I'm not set up for bottom bulb racing this year....
    Give me a 400 pro tree or a box and I'm happy:-D

I do have some winter plans so I can try bottom bulbing again next season....

Your always welcome to just come up and have some fun. It's a pretty nice track.

I thought all line locks were air.

I always wondered about timing the line lock. If you release it at the exact same time you release the 2-step, does the line lock come off before the bike tries to move? Two of the bikes use then and on Doug's old bike the brake arm was always giving him trouble and I wonder if it was not because of the line lock. Seems like you would want to make sure that it was released just before the clutch starts to grab.

They both use a switched throttle that is in series with a toggle switch that is in series with the 2-step for some reason to lock it. Seems way too complex but I never asked the reason.

I have seen a couple that used in line solenoids in the brake line. But you had to hold on the back brake as you set the button.I am with you i kept it simple. One button.Only problem is when you need to back out.

Got 9 runs in tonight and broke into the 110 mph club with the little 1166 engine. I think that's hauling since I'm over 250 pounds with gear on. Got down to 6.25 at 110.43 and 6.26 at 110.32 and that was hot lapping the bike.

Still spinning the tire at the line, a few friend's say you should hear it. Sounds like a 2 stroke on the pipe.

Did have a big time bogg at launch with these 340/320 cams. I was thinking with the cams I'd need some more static pressure on the clutch so I changed out the 41 pounds springs with 46 pounders. After about 3 runs I put the 41's back in and I could still feel a very slight bogg for a split second and then it's gone. I was on the 2 step at 7K so I'm thinking it's the cam timing at 111/110 that may be causing it and also I need to raise the launch RPM say to 7500 to solve it.

Was a fun night but it was hot.

Got in 1 time trial and then the rains came. One week of points left and then the bracket finals 2 weeks after that.

We were going to go back to Bunker Hill Saturday, but the storm on Thursday knocked that out....

Took Friday and most of Saturday to clean up the damage....
Power just came back on last night....

Next weekend Amy is racing the car, so my next race will be the 2WheelSpeed weekend of Sept 8-9....can't wait.

Hey, your rain stopped! I take it that's with the bar and slick. When people say that they just gained a half second by changing the fuel I laugh. Your 200cc larger and only 0.25 quicker and 4MPH faster with the other motor.

                  Last year my best was 1.3418 60', 5.6026 130.15 1/8, 8.7029 154.04 1/4.
                  This year my best was 1.278 60', 5.3262 132.75 1/8, 8.3572 158.57 1/4.

Not that much faster / quicker than you and I have a wider tire, bigger motor and a turbo. We weight about 730. You should be VERY happy with what you have done so far!

We have been getting a lot of rain as well. If it's not raining then the humidity is high and the temps are up. We had a double points race yesterday. The first was cancelled due to rain. The kid took the win and is one point off the lead now.

Thanks Mark, with that 5.32 you be the fastest bike around here. We don't see to many turbos around here, but when they do show up everybody watching them. Must be the sound.

The bar and slick are back on and if feels good again. My best 60ft with the 1166 is 1.40 and with the 1395 is 1.32, this winter I'll put the 1395 block on and will see how it runs with the 750 head. I bet she'll crack the 5's then.

I'd did find a Falicon crank with the 750 straight cut gear, only thing left is for me to find a clutch basket with a 750 gear and I put it in next year too.

I may put my 630 chain back on cause I got more sprockets for different gearing. May try a 14-48 and see what happens this weekend.

                      What rods does it have?

I thought Ryan was using 750 gears until this year. Maybe he can help. You may also be able to have the gear on the crank changed. If the press fit is still good it's not a problem. I'm not sure the price on a new gear now though.

                      Ryan???

Man, a 1.32 is moving out!

I still hope to crank my bike up before the snow flies. I'm still below 18 PSI. Every time I go I think, this is it. Then I find another problem. I think I'm close now, but I say that all the time.

Starting to think about making a small dyno. I figure it costs me $30 in gasoline and $31 to enter. I see Go Power breaks on eBay every now and then that would hold the power with no problem. The one my friend built can't handle the RPM or the HP otherwise we would have built a fixture for it.

I wish one of you guys would make me an offer on my drag bike that is sitting in my garage for 15 years. It is going to waste as I dont have the desire to fix it or ride it anymore. It is a very nice piece and is described in this thread

I got you beat on gasoline, I just get one gallon of 109 for 9 bucks and can go about 8 run's. 1/8 tracks are easy on the gas buget.

I got 4 cranks now and all of them have the 492 rods, don't know if that's good or bad but never had a issue with the rods except for one bearing going bad. I think I cause it on that crank with 26K's on it trying to start the 1395 motor without retarding the timing ??

That 1.32 is with oem cast wheel's, stock frame and a very heavy GSXR swingarm that about 2 inches longer than a GS one. WB is about 62 inch and if I ever get around to putting that engine into a real chassis I'd be in the high 1.20's and the 5's for sure

I don't know how you Northern folks can stand the cold for all those months. I spent some time up around lake Erie in the winter and boy did it kick my butt
