My 630 chain and sprocket showed up. The 16T 5/8 fit and the only close spot was the cover bolt right at the rear of the sprocket. Bolted it all up and spun the tire and no noise from the cover. The chain at 114 pins and with the 16f and 44r the wheel base is right at 64"

    Overall engine to rear wheel ratio is now;

    1st 14.79
    2nd 10.51
    3rd 8.16
    4th 6.65
    5th 5.68

That's pretty close, around .2 plus increase from my old setup with 1100 gears with 14f and 46r sprockets.

Just got to finish up some wire now

Was up North today. Had some ice on the roads coming home. A couple of pickups hit eachother, another was in the ditch. Winter is coming...

I thought you ditched that big chain.

I got tired of adjusting the chain every weekend so the 630 went back on a few months ago and I haven't adjusted since.

I am using that big T/F Funny bike chain to help add weight to the bike and slow it down. I have ran it two seasons now and it's still not even at the half way point. But then again, I bet I make far less passes than you a year.

That's one HD chain you got there Mark, if I ever joined a gang that's the chain I'd carry

Mines the 160hp one and they work pretty good and their cheap, with the 16 tooth up front now I bet the chain will last alot longer too.

Yea, I can assure you 100% that the big chain would do some major damage. I am glad it missed me!!! I would want mine 70's chromed. Red looks nice with it.

Body work is coming along. Looks like hell with all the grinding. Finally the carb is done so I can put that back on.

It may be Winter here, but its warm down south. The kid and dad went yesterday for some training. Dad's just watching. Kid made some runs today. He has to work, hand clutch, button shift with a light (prostock school). Ran a 1.11 60' out of the gates. Not too bad for his first time. Made it all the way to the 1/8th today running 8.80. I guess they video tape every run and use the loggers to see what the riders are doing. If they lift they can't get their license. But it's not really the point of the class. Sounds like he's having a real fun time. Eight riders are in the class so they spend a lot of time with them. I guess it was 11 hours today. If everything goes right, he should make it into the 7's tomarrow. Dad will be getting some video for us.

One day I may be watching ESPN and say, hey I used to pit for that guy. How cool would that be.

That's 8.80s in the 1/4, shutting off at the 1/8th....

That would be cool Mark, maybe get an autograph picture to hang up in the garage just in case.

That just shows what a good 60ft time time can do for you

This is the place he's at:

I have shot a lot of video of him. So when he gets a big head and ESPN is ready to do a document on him I can pull some of his bloopers out. LOL. I would like to see him do something with it as long as he can stay in college. Can't wait to hear how is reaction times were. They won't post them until after it's all over.

Trying to get him to write a nice speech this year when he gets his award. I keep telling him he's got to hone his PR skills now.

Man, what a day it must have been. He weighed in at 135 with his gear. Ya baby!! They started out making the 1000' pass. Kid ran a 7.72 at 149MPH at the 1/4 coasting. 60' was a 1.11 and he was running 148MPH at the 1/8th. Brice thought it would have been a 7.50 pass if they would have let him run it through. I guess they worked with him a lot and had him change how he launched the bike. His worst light was a .496. Not bad for all the changes. He was much quicker than the other riders too. The closest rider ran a 7.77 on a full 1/4 pass.

Only two riders got their license. Him and one other guy from Canada. The other guy had been to the class before.

If ya can't tell, I'm proud as all. Hope to get some video of it all.

Thanks Ray, but I can't claim him. I'm just his support crew. He's a young man now and I need to stop calling him kid.

Still no word from George on if they would sell me a copy or not. I'll give them a call and see.

I picked up a spare set of cases off eBay this week. Praying they are in good of condition. Still havn't started pulling Red apart. I did finish up the oiler for it. Big old ugly lines. The only thing it needs is the starter gear and cover which will have to be custom made and the timing cover. Plan to CNC another one but will use the same paint so it matches. Should look pretty nice with it.
