    gsxr 750m into gs1000

    hello all i wonder if anybody could help iam thinking of putting a gsxr750 m engine plus the front forks and swinging into a gs1000 ive found on ebay i wonder if some body could point me in the right direction,ive had a gs1000 before and loved it and ive got the gsxr750 sat in my shed and can weld

    A lot of guys on this site are Purists & will tell you to leave the stock engine in it. I say go for it if you have the fab skills. I have seen & ridden a couple of GSXR conversions & they were great bikes. I would recommend at least a 1054 or 1127 motor instead of the 750 though because the torque is what moves a bike that weighs what the GSs do. Remember how much less the 750 weighed as a whole bike compared to the bike you want to put it in. If you can't get an 1100 motor reasonably priced, I would build the GS. Ray.

      This guy put a Bandit 1200 motor (basically an overbored GSXR 1100 motor tuned for more low and mid end grunt) into his GS1000.
