    GS450 & GS500 pipes

I need confirmation that a newer GS500 exhaust will bolt up to my '83 GS450E. I read about how they are essentially the same motor minus the larger bore. I realize I will need to modify how the muffler hangs, but I just want to know if the headers will bolt up to the GS450E.
    thanks

i may be wrong on this, but doesn't the GS500 have four cylinders and therefore 4 exhaust pipes? our bikes only have two so it wouldn't work out.
i am absolutely sure that the GS550 has four cylinders...

um.. talk to OldschoolOrange about this one. I'm pretty sure you are in for a surprise. the distance between the exhaust ports is different.
