The bottom mount on the HO140's is a clevis rather than an eyelet. I have a deal going for these shocks as well but there is a line for them and I don't expect to be able to fill all the orders until after the March 13 production run. My advice to you would be to talk to the tech people and see if they can be of any help. I know they will be able to adjust spring rates, and they can tell you the type of mounts and lengths of the various models, so you'll at least have that much info which may be enough for you to make a decision - but I am quite certain they won't advise you to use HO140's for an SU143 application. Also, the bottom mounts are not changable, so if you need an eyelet bottom mount, the HO140 will not work as it is a clevis. However, if you can use a clevis mount it is entirely possible that the HO140 will work for you. I happen to have them on my CB900F and I am happy with them of course. I also know that some of the CB900/1100F guys run the GS1100 swingarm on thier F bikes, but I think they may have modified them to accept the CB shock. I run mine stock so I'm not sure.

This particular 1100 swinger is Eye to Clevis mount. So those would in fact be a match. If you've a list to wait on, put me down if you dont mind, I DO need a great set of shocks, Ohlins seems the way to go, and I dont mind waiting. The MDIs will do till after march, or whenever it may be. Ive spent a good deal of cash on this cafe project, and dont want to ruin it by having mediocure suspension.

The stock Suzuki GS shock (except shaft drive) is a bottom clevis, so the SU143 should have one too.

I have used the same S&W shocks on my old Honda as my GS for test fitting.

I'd definitely call Ohlins first to make sure there isn't a width or bolt diameter difference, but I've always understood Honda and Suzuki eye-clevis shocks to be interchangeable.

These 14.5 inch MDIs i picked up are actually designed for a CB900/1100 according to the manufacture specs. Not a problem at all with difference. Hopefully, if i can purchase a set of these Ohlins, they will be the same.

I have recieved multiple PM's about the SU145's. I do not think there are any left, but we may be able to get some from Sweden though it will take time. If you are willing to wait, I might be able to get them. The 145's are $800 a set and they differ from the 143's in that they have a hydraulic preload adjuster, compression adjuster on the reservoir, rebound adjuster, and adjustable shock length. The SU143 is a piggyback with preload only. The SU145 is a much better shock, but almost twice the price. If your budget allows it, I would go for it.

Okay, I have got quite a bit of response this time so I am going to do this a little differently. A few of you wanted more than one set, some as many as 8 sets (one set being a pair of shocks). I of course can not accomodate that at the moment so I would like to limit everyone on this first run to one set only. If anyone backs out I will make the additional sets available to those that wanted multiple sets. Also, as I said before I can probably get another run if the demand is high enough so try not to get too wound up about being limited to one set.

I have now made my email address public on my profile so if you click my name and then send email, you will see my address. Please send me an email and on the subject line place Ohlins SU143 (or if you want the SU145 or HO140, place that in the subject line) and then your last name. In the email place the amount of shocks you would like and again place the part number (i.e 1 SU145, 1 SU143, etc), your rider wieght, and the zip code where you want the shocks shipped to. Also include a phone number where you can be reached during normal business hours on the east coast. I will then forward these on to Autumn and she will contact you to confirm via email or phone.

I'm only doing it this way to make it easier for me since I have several of these buys going on at the moment and I do not want to leave anyone out. This also allows me to make a folder where I can keep the info until the orders are completed, and transfer the emails to a completed folder when they are filled. It's just easier to manage and I am doing it in a similar way that I do this sort of thing at work. By sending me an email I can incorporate one entire order with everybody on it into a single email sorted according to shock type and I think it will allow her to fill them quicker that way also. As for order of precedence, the people who resonded first will be at the top of the list and successive responders below in order.

Please do not under any circumstances send me your billing account info. I don't want it, and I don't even want it by accident. I want nothing at all to do with it. If you want to include the full billing address for shipping purposes, that's fine, but do not send me your payment info as I can't do anything with it anyway, that's Autumns job.

If anybody is uncomfortable with this arrangement you may PM me and I'll just pass the info on as I have done in the past, but I prefer to do it this way for it's superior organization and tracking merits.

Sorry, one last thing. If you ask for SU145's and they are not availble please indicate if you would be willng to purchase the SU143 instead. That way you won't lose your place in line if the SU145's are limited or not available at all.

The list goes out on Monday and there are 5 more sets to be spoken for if you want them.

Cafe, did you send me an email? I have more HO orders than SU orders and since I don't know everybody's name/screen name I can't alwas put them together. I want to make sure that I didn't leave you out.

Yup, same price. They are essentially the same shock (36P), just different length and mounts.

Put me down for SU145's if available. If not, the SU143's will do. One pair for a 79 GS1000.
