GSX 1000 frontend

I have found a GSX 1000 parts bike in my area for $100. It's missing the motor and transmission(rolling). My question is will the front end work on my 83 1100E? The guys not sure what year the bike is. He's thinking it's an early 90's. But I thought if it was the same or close to the GSXR stuff for $100 I could buy it and rebuild the forks and everything and it still would be a deal. What do you guys think? Thanks Andy

As long as you use the complete front end it shoud be a breeze.

Confused - does the donor bike look like

I *think* you have a GSX1100 on your hands from the date of the donor bike....hard to say though.
