Approx cost for big bore kit?
Can anyone tell me what it cost for a big bore kit and machining the cylinders?Tags: None

It depends on the bike and the company you have do it.
http://www.wiseco.com/ has one to take my 750 to 844cc for $541

I assume when you say "big block" your talking a solid block.
Depends what your wanting. I think I paid around $1400 or so for the last setup. Pistons were right out of the box (no gas porting, etc). Block, sleeves, buttons and pistons came from MTC. Rings are standard. APE made me some very nice wrist pins for it. Then the machining, setup, head gasket and base shims.

For a bore in kit without resleeving, it is $95.00 all four holes.

I had a block bored and cleaned for $100.00 at a place called united speedworld in tampa...very professional guys in there, I think they do a lot of dragracing stuff. Meawhile the mc shop down the street wanted 200.00, and a suzuki dealer wanted 350.00

Is 100 Hp/75 ftlbs realistic if I bump my 8 valve GS1000 motor to 1100, 10.1 compression, K&N filters, quality pipe, dyna coils and ignition, new set of cams, and larger carbs?
