Put the bike back together and cut all the tubes for the nose. Drilled the fasteners and tacked everything. This is going to be a job and a half to get that part on there right. Two man job for sure.

It did not pass the pressure test last night. Found another small leak where I cut off one of the old mounts. Goal today is get the nose finished up, test for flex cracks and fix that last leak.

If we have time we will mount the tub. Thats the last thing that needs to be done to the frame other than paint. So close....

The way your going you'll have that thing on the track in no time. I predict 2 months tops.

Man Ryan, did you have fun mounting yours? I used to tubes runing to the front of the nose. Then have a T off of that. Tried to hide the fasteners in the tip of the eye part. Tied the two back lower parts into the down tubes. Should be stable at 200. LOL

We worked about 3 hours tonight and got everything but the tub done. I think we found all the leaks in the frame and did a deep dye test but found nothing. Problem buying old junk like this. You have no idea about the metal fatigue. Hope to finish the frame Sunday or Monday.

Now that I have the nose on, still not caring for the style. I tried to lower the nose and bring it back towards the rider as much as possible but it just isn't a good flowing look.

Was thinking, this thing has only one Jap. part on it, the breaks. Most is from the states. Koenig, Beasley, RC Engineering, Mickey Thompson, PMFR, MRE, MPS, Pingle, Sprocket Specialists, Magura. Can I really call it a GS?

I finally had a good night of T&T. Best run of the night was 1.42, 3.81, 5.83 at 120

60 ft is still alittle high but I'll take it. I put my old swing arm back on and that help the bike to gain forward traction again. Even at launch I could fill the tire hooked up.
I know my gearing, 16/44 with the 750 ratio may need some trail and error testing for better results.

Some guy took of pic of me around the 330 mark and the front tire was still off the ground and the bike was still going straight.

It was nice to launch without the ignition going dead on me and the slick still hooking up on the short big end.

Now I can get with the program and try to crack that 130 mark....... maybe it's time to step up to a 60 shot??

Didn't take you long to get back into the 5's. Good deal. Has you season started there or arn't you running points?

We are still all messed up. The new fuel is not going to cut it. The Kaw is shifting fine now but the kids bike is still having problems. I checked most of the wiring today and nothing. Found nothing when the motor was apart. I hate these radio shack electronics.

Had a few bikes really make some scary passes today. One guy was crossed up at least 30 degrees. Another was going all over the place for at least 100' out.

My bike is still not together. No fuel, wireing is not done and another month before we put paint on it. After going to the track twice now, starting to get the itch to ride.

Got the windshield on the new thing. Its been sitting under pressure for a while now and hasn't moved. I think we have all the leak points.

Points racing happens on Sat and the only bike class is no-box class now. I've been leaving off the bottom amber and red lighting alot. I like Friday night cause of the cooler weather and may run in the Q16 again. Saturday's racing just takes too long.

We had 3 different track daddy's in the past 3 years and nothing stays the same ??

I know what you mean with the ignition stuff. My MC2 didn't like being mounted up front so I put it back under the seat and no more issue's.

My bike did that once and that's why I put a slick on it

I know what you mean. Sure thats party why Bob decided to drop out. It's a full day for us. We start getting ready by 9:00am, leave at 10 get home between 10pm and 1 next day. I would guess on average, it was about 7 passes. This year will be better for number of runs and payout. We are doing these double points weekends to try and help people save on gasoline. They will run two full races in a weekend, then we have more weekends off.

Fridays all the kids come and just go round and round. Its pretty hard to get five runs in. They break and then the track is down. I have given up after waiting in line over an hour and gone home. I have to be back home and up the next day to race.

Both of those were street bikes.

This is my big story for the weekend....

With the kids bike still not shifting, we try one last pass with the auto off. Pass is clean and the bike runs an 8.55 at 149 with a 1.22 short time. I go down to fetch him and we are the only two people down there. I hand him the ticket and he says "look!". I turn and there is a Jr on its side. I was still on the bike and it was running so I took off. There inside is this little guy. He can't be more than 7. He is trying to get unhooked. I ask him if he is alright and he tells me he is. They are packed in there pretty tight. I look down and can see a pool of something. Put my fingers in it and smell. Methanol. The kid is there now so I tell the boy to stay in the car and that we are going to roll him over. Those thing are light. Then we picked up the front and pulled the car away from the puddle and saved the kids life. LOL One of the track guys is there now and he helps the boy out of the car. Then come the parents. Both very worried about the boy. Mom was pretty cool, dad, a little excited.

Now the strange thing, a Jr shuts off at an 1/8th. It takes them a VERY long time to get to the end. I would have thought the boy would have had it under control by that time... LOL

Ya, it was a pretty slow weekend. Anything exciting happen in your area?

Yes that is part of it for sure....Especially at RT66....Byron is not to bad, they run a fast program, plus no lights....but the drive is a little farther...

I was fairly confident in my decision to take a year off.........

Buuuuuuttttt....we went to the track yesterday so Amy could get some laps in our new car, (she will run points up at Byron and wanted the practice)....
It was a regular race day at 66 and the bikes were there.....

So first....I had some 'splainin' to do why I wasn't racing....
Second, I remembered why I liked it....I like hangin' with those guys...
                    I watched every bike race....
So........I'm not going to bust my @ss, but I am going to pull my slider and send the basket to MTC and have it rebuilt......

Maybe do a couple of things and if I happen to have the bike ready for the first 2WS event in June.....
                    Well....we'll see.....

No video though....I think that was part of my problem...

BTW...Amy made it down to 10 cars in sportman class yesterday...new car worked well...I think she'll do OK...

Finally got to the track this weekend and the old 1150 still gets the job done. Our summit series finally kicked off for my track and it felt good to get back in the saddle\\/ Clicked off a 9.22 @ 147 first run with the back end everywhere .

Kris, are you coming to Fontana this weekend for the Division 7 race? If so I look forward to meeting you & extend an invite to you to bring some kind of dead meat to throw on my grill Saturday evening. Ray.

I just increased my funnel jets up to 20/24 so now she's close to 60 hp on the nitrous. I'll be running 28 degrees of timing with MS101 fuel . I got the 2 dial set for 1 second build time at 40% power and will adjust from there.

I'm looking forward to this Friday to see how she runs now that the tire a hooking. Well see how close I can get to that 130 mark \\/

I fully understand the video problem Bob. There is no way I could ride and take video. Way too much distraction. Just playing pit boy, I don't have time.

Sounds like some of the bikes I saw last weekend. Back end all over and very unstable.

Crap, my record is going to fall this weekend. Keep it safe!

Was talking with a friend who's building a new bike. It's a ZX14 (I think) 07. Koenig chassis. He was telling me about the nightmare wire job that needs to be done, so I volenteered to help out Sunday. Wow! Nice bike. Not sure what all the plans are. Another guy built one at our track and had it out last weekend. Water cooled, air clutch, push button start. He didn't have it quite right yet, but it was still turning low 9's.

So I am getting the wiring figured out and trying to just get the starter solenoid to kick in. I finally talk with a buddy of his who has one. Turns out there is a security system that prevents the thing from starting. He tells me the trick to bypass it. Nothing in the manual that I could find about it. After that we were able to start it up. That gave them some incentive to get working on it.
