thanks Mark... I will most def be there for the bike and sled 2Day event.. nem might be coming as well... but he's gonna try and help me and buz so we just may take you up on the offer to push me - truth be told to video my runs would be most helpful as well... we see so much more on the recordings than live.. cuz your can only see so much while it's all happening but the rewind feature is a blessin on video - hehehe...

were ya'll still doin a track rental before this event?

With the times I'm runnin lately I will most def be competitive with that last bike and a few others that may show up

I'm hopin to see some lower times however by then and if' that's the case I just may have a shot at first place

I am not sure on the track rental. The had the NHRA guys running there last week. I think it's a few thousand is all so we could put something together. The sled guys did it last year. Let me ask and get back with you.

Hey, if Nem is coming he can pit fo you and buz. He's younger and has to be in better shape than me.

If you can handle seeing yourself on video, its a great tool. 1/8th speed on the DVD player is great! I like the DVDs just so you can see all the detail. So much better than posting on-line. It would be great to have a person just do this full time. Then you could get what ever angle you want and every run recorded. Once your kids get a little older I think the problem will be solved. Tell them I said hello.

We are supposed to be good weather for Saturday. New tires are mounted and broke in. I think we are ready this time to kick some car butt!

All I can say is WOW.

Started the day off wet and rainy. Weather finally left us and we got time trials under way.

I ended up going 4 rounds for the event win. That made it official and I finished the year as the bike class champion. After the regular racing was over they called for the track champion runoff. The Top, Mod, Street, and Bike Champions all race each other for an overall champion. I drew the mod champ wile the Top champ drew the street champ. I beat the mod champ in a double break out win going going a 9.349 on a 9.35. He was 10.016 on a 10.03. The street champ beat our Top champ setting up a Bike champion street champion runoff for the Title. Ended up taking the win. We were almost dead even off the tree, but I was able to run closer to my dial for the win. So I won the 08 Track Champion. And finally they called us back up to do a runoff for a box and no box classes for the Super Series runoff at the bracket finals. To top off the night the Top champion turned on the red light giving me the win. That has to be one of the best nights of racing I've ever had. Somehow everything just lined up for me.

Hope everyones weekend went as well.

Alright Ryan! Another feather in your cap! I would take luck over skill any day at the track but when you have both going for you its a very hard combination to beat.

                    Congratulations!
Sounds like a great season topped off by an even better day.
I think a picture of the bike AND the Champ would make an excellent BOM.

Thanks guys. I never expected to take everything like that. I really had the luck come to me when I needed it. I was nervous all day, but when we got to racing I just seemed to calm right down.

If I come up with a recent pic I'll post it up. Thanks again.

                        Look forward to seeing it!

Congrats - and I like to think of it as more Karma than just luck

wish I had had as good of luck this past weekend... went back to my "home" track to discover the wheeli gremlin had returned... we thought we had it figured out after Sat only to be dissappointed yet again on Sun to see wheelie after wheelie again...

My mph had been down on Sat by about 10 - finally discovered Sunday after my first run that I had a boost leak.. up-pipe came loose from the plentum but not enough to loose all boost just enough to slow me down some.

fixed that and boom the HP was there again but unfortunately wheelies were too.. this time in both first and second gear.

track was hookin - after ALOT of adjustments and scratchin heads we can only come to the conclusion last thing to change out is the shock... figure it is wore out and just can't handle the load when the track hooks.. put the bike on a so so track and she does well... on a sticky track and up she comes with same settings as used last...

Here's one shot the track guy caught on Sat where the bike was coming back down from a bunny hop (finally got use to short shifting the wheelies rather than getting off the gas) was told rear was 6" off the ground before this pic was taken...

was still managing some 7 sec passes but my 60's were horrible high 1.4's and 1.5 all day...

then this video was from Sunday.. managed a 7.96 even with TWO wheelies with short shifts... and yet again crapy 60's

We are swappin out my shock for nem's and see if it makes a difference this weekend at our 2wheel speed event - fingers crossed

                          E.

Good job Ryan ....... again.........and again

You keep this up and they'll ban you from the track

Hey E how about some wheelie bars that way you can skip the 7's and just run in the 6's

You all keep up the good work........... you too Mark !!

Thanks... I'm surprised how many folks are so quick to suggest just that... "wheelie bars" lol.... I am typically one for more of a challenge but I do have to admit I'm tiring of this problem with not finding the solution to it..

yet again it makes me that much MORE determined to solve it. LOL

who knows one day I may switch to different style bike but for now I like competing in the Prostreet class where there's no bars, slicks, sliders, or 2step...

Not to mention being the only female right now on a prostreet bike making it into the 7's is quite the thrill

Is that a bracket class or heads up racing ?
