    Stock exhaust redo

I own an 81 750L, and want to know if I modify the stock exhaust, will I have to make adjustments to the carb or jetting?
I am a total newbie to motorcycles and have manuals on their way, but just thought I would ask this question
    Thanks

That would depend on how you modify it.

What did you have in mind?

I am thinking of running a sort of drag pipe, maybe something with a side discharge or maybe just straight back.
I am not seeing many bikes pictured with the style that I am looking for, most are cafe/race style

Lots of drag racers here can give you good advice. Check with Kris V. He's in SoCal.

I'm thinking with open pipes you might need to re-jet. If you're looking at a header with a baffle, maybe not. If you're going with intake pods, you will definately need to re-work the carbs.

        Good luck.
