Its not as loud as you would think. Obviously it is quite a bit louder than stock. These bikes are WAY too quiet stock.

Its not loud enough to leave my ears ringing or anything like that. I also hate the way the stock trumpets look. It was a win win situation for me.

When I put my bike back together I am leaving my mufflers off too. But I got some slashcut long muffler tips from Advanced auto parts to kind of tapper off the look of the pipes.

You and I are going to have similar bikes lol. I will have to go with a different decal! I was also thinking about blacking out my lower forks.

I made two quick vids of my exhaust. Quality could be better, but sound is pretty good.

              Idle

              Idle + rev + smoke:-D

I've read on this forum about guys putting some rebar in the end of the exhaust pipe and hitting it with a hammer, punching a hole in that part of the baffle. From what i've read it doesn't make it that much louder except when you're on the throttle. Maybe someone else will chime in who has some first hand experience.

I drilled out the holes in the baffles. sounds pretty good. loud enough to feel cool but not really loud at all.

As long as you dont remove the aribox, you wont need to re-jet. I ran my bike for a few weeks with the cut exhaust and stock jets and airbox. It had no problems.

If you do the exhaust and the pods you will definitely have to re-jet. When I had the open exhaust and removed my air box, my bike wouldn't rev over 5k RPM .

You can open up the exhaust and run the stock jets, no problem.
