    K&N Pod Price (FYI only)

was looking around for some K&N pod pricing and stumbled across this, from Amazon of all places...

$100 bucks for a set of 4. That's like 50 bucks cheaper than anywhere else my limited serching found

These are the pods that K&N website recommends for a 82 GS1100E
    part number: RC-0984

anyway, just thought I would pass that on

I ordered a set a couple days ago actually, I'll let you know when they get here (for how long it takes them).

thanks. I was a little apprehensive about ordering these from Amazon but that price was pretty good from what I can tell. Amazon said they were "new" . I guess we'll see about that

I have always had good luck with Amazon. Everything from books to a Heli-Coil, to a shotput for my son.

Amazon has never really worked for me. First, someone ordered a Sony Vaio laptop using MY credit card, which we've used on Amazon, on a different person's account, shipping to a person with supposedly the same name as the other accountholder, but with a different delivery address in a different state. The accountholder happened to be a deacon in the church somewhere in Iowa, and when he got an email confirming his "order", which he never made, somehow my phone number was attached to his confirmation, so he called to let me know about the situation, and within 5 minutes I had alerted my credit card company and cancelled the account. Amazon would NEVER discuss how this happened, which I think they should have to do by law, even after being contacted bu the credit card company. The next time I dealt with Amazon was to order a GPS/sounder for my boat, which I noticed in my confirmation notice, wouldn't ship for 5 WEEKS! They said that even though you order through Amazon, it actually is from a store signed up with them to sell through Amazon. The price was pretty good, so I figured i could wait 5 weeks, but it got extended TWICE! I could have cancelled and ordered somewhere else, but by the first notice, it was too late to get a price even CLOSE anywhere else. Came in after my boat was hauled in November; too late for that season. I'm glad you've had better luck.
