Stock exhaust is UGLY and sounds silly. You cant even tell the bike is running. Whisper quiet bikes are just not cool.
My old GS unplugged. The Harley I was running is also open so you can compare.

I would also agree that it is way quieter than any POTATO POTATO with aftermarket exhaust. I am thinking about a license plate that reads "BACNETR" . Anyone like? Just make sure you take the time to jet correctly.

You guys justifying your loud exhaust just because Harley's are louder are completely missing the point. Reminds me of a child that's been caught doing something wrong and then offers up the excuse that "Johnny did it too"…as if that justifies their own wrongful actions.Last edited by Nessism; 05-02-2008, 11:55 AM.Ed

The fact so many of them are still on the road debunks the throw away bike theory. But to each his own. He's entitled to do what he wants with his bike.

When these moronic dipschits rev their silly straightpipes in my face I give them a long earful of my Stebel.
I win.

I wouldn't mind a little rumble, but nothing loud. I respect eveyone's opinion here. Obviously this has been an argument that has been going on forever and will never have an end.

There is a benifit to being loud/loudish and that is people who dont see you hear you.
As much as I wish I had a quiet system on my 1000g its definately safer
