    Single shock

Hi guys, I am new to this site. I have a 82 gs1100e, and I am going to convert the rear end to single shock. I need some info on where to but the welds on the frame? I'm going to be putting on a gsxr 1000 swingarm. Any help will do. Thanks!

Search for threads by 1980GS1000 He's done this and done it quite well. All the info you need should be in his threads!

I did this to my GS1000. Take a look at my project thread. It's a bit rambling, but you'll find the needed info.

I'd like to brace the stock swingarm & frame & do a one sided Shock conversion.....

Whoa whoa whoa - you mean like an offset single shock as in not mounted on the centerline? I think you could definitely get a shock mounted but I have to say I don't think it is a good idea - at all.
