      Dan the template can be used in one of two ways. The template can be used as it is and it should be measured from centre to centre on all three dimensions and if it is as the measurements that Mark has put on the drawing then it can be used as is. If not (printer error) then the initial centre punch mark can be made and then the measurements taken off Mark's drawing and using scribes and compass draw an arc from two relevant points and where they intersect the centre punch marks can be made. In fact that is the way that the more engineer and trade like people will probably do this job.

      There are two measurements out of the three on the drawing that there is no tolerance with and no variations can be made. These two measurements are set and cannot be altered. They are the distance between the lower fork leg lugs and the distance between the two threaded holes being used on the Kawa caliper bracket.

      Having said all that I do appreciate all your comments. Your help has been invaluable over these past months in the long process working through the single CBR disc conversion and the twin CBR disc conversion as well. Hopefully others will benefit from our research work.

        Just to answer some questions that have popped up a couple of times...

        The hub spacers are designed to be used as a drilling Jig / template. They have 2 6mm holes which can be bolted to the the existing holes on the rotors with some short bolts, this then allows you to drill straight through the 6 new holes into the rotor & makes sure you get them accurate. You then unbolt the 2 6mm bolts & bolt them up to the wheel.

        The spacer also has the correct size centre hole (you may have to kiss it with a file, some hubs seem a little tighter than others) so when it's all fitted you have the same setup as stock.
