    replacing the throttle tube

Can anyone tell me if I can replace the throttle tube for one that doesn't require going back and grabbing another handful of throttle to twist it all the way open? If so, what bike can I get one off of? I need to keep the push/pull type.

1/4 turn throttle of an Yammie R1. Mikey Riddle is/has doing/done the conversion, and i think a couple of others have as well. Its on the list of future additions to the cafe for me too...

1/4 turn? Is that what I am looking for? That doesn't seem like much.

      Any year R1?

Not sure precisely, I think the last couple years. Again, you'd be best to ask Mike or one of the others who have done it. There was a pretty extensive thread on it not too long ago...maybe a search will turn it up...one sec..

I was looking at doing the same thing on my Bandit. Another option is an 03 R6 tube. It's supposed to be shorter than the R1.

The Bandit guys swear by this.
