so far is been going slowly but the engine is waiting for me at fast by gast. my wallet isn't ready yet. I just got transfered back from work. so money got tight. and a springfield XD.40 Sub Compact. Iv got just about every NOS part i could. all badges are the gold and black ones for the 83 1100L model. Ill have to take pics and list the part numbers sense i had to research the badges so i got the right ones. i got the engine side covers and the fork cover badges Suzuki dosnt sell anymore. theres a guy on ebay that got a 10 pack in the UK. $10 each
i also got some air shocks on ebay but need the decals for them. ill see if i can get some made.
im not looking at a perfect restoration just want it to look like it is.
the engine will be flat black with polished side covers. true 1103cc web cam 110 grind and a head job 34mm Mikuni RS carbs. Dyna 2000 ignition.
i got a gk seat that needs to be recovered and the pan is solid. i also have the hard bags. im not going to put a fairing on it. iv got a plexy shield for high way driving.
i wish i could change the title of this thread. is should be getting going

Wow; U are going all out. Very Nice set of parts. BTW those are RS 36mm you have in the pics; should work better than the 34's you must have mistyped.

going in for paint tomorrow. don't know when it will be finished but we will be going over everything tomorrow
ok now it will be going in for paint 11-29-09 Black with gold pin stripe's and flat black motor w/stainless hardware, and polished covers.

just Imagen that with matching gk bags and trunk. and a 83 black motor and a black GK seat

bought those foot pegs that were on the bay so long. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT

so it is going along slowly. I have a M1 Garand National match gun I'm building at the same time so moneys tight

i've been re-reading this thread and saw that those pistons are 11.5:1 compression. just wanted to ask if that's correct and if ok/safe for street use?
