i just installed one of those short twist throttles and i have to say.. holy crap. if you've been thinking on it, i would do so. the response is so much faster and easier on the wrist. only downside i've noticed so far is it's a little touchy when manually holding the throttle at a specific speed.. but i'm gonna get a throttle rocker anyhow

I've been looking for a suitable single cable short-throw throttle for my 1100ed but can't find any. Did you get an R1 throttle? They're all 2 cable as far as I've seen...

actually, as stupid as it sounds, i don't remember where i picked it up. it's got 3 slots to put your cables, the one is nearly across from the other two, so i assume it was universal for both single and push/pull cables? it was a few bucks.. i picked it up somewhere a couple years ago out of a bargin bin i think..

Or, take the solder iron and melt in a new hole towards the outside edge.

There used to be a company that sold just the plastic part that the grip went over that worked with all the stock parts. They were pretty inexpensive. I think those had two settings on them.
