    16V head/8V motor?

I am SOOOO glad the forum's back!

Can you put a 16V head on an 8V motor? Whether you can or not, does anyone know the physical differences between the two motors below the cylinder head?

    My 16V is an '82 GS750T, my 8V is a '79 GS750

No you cannot. The bolt patterns are FAR from the same. Blocks arent the same. Commbustion chambers are shaped differently.... Really the only thing the 16v 750 shares in common with the 8v 750 is that they were both DOHC, both made by Suzuki, and both were titled as 750 displacement (when really, they both had different displacements)

The BIGGEST reason you can't do it (without HUGE expense anyway!) is that the cylinder stud spacing is different. Ray.

You would also need pistons with reliefs for 4 valves per cylinder.
