Remove the stock sleeves, bore the block for new sleeves, bore & hone new sleeves for new pistons, bore upper case half to clear new sleeves. Definitely NOT a bolt on but not a big deal either. GREAT gain in torque & power! Build them JAY!!!! Ray.

Sounds like a monster or beast plus. . . you certainly would have to have the crank welded as well to be reliable.

Just curious, but why do you need to sleeve the block when all these other aluminum block bikes are just coating the cylinders with one of these new, high speed coatings?

Wouldn't the bike run much cooler?

Cylinders on those bikes are designed from the start to be plated, GS engines are designed to use sleeves. Might be possible to build a cylinder from scratch with plated cylinders in mind but even that might not work due to the way the cylinders fit down into the cases.
