Man I was just admiring your 1100, I was uncertain on the exhaust until I saw it on the bike. It looks really good! Very well thought out and good choice on the pipe, it really looks like it was madef or it. The new pics you have up look trick! One of my favs on this site! great job!

      Hey Joe,
Thanks alot ; I'm was not sure as well when it first hit the frame. See the attached bike which have been a source of inspiration. I think this is the exact same pipe but it uses a can hanger from up high at the seat rail.
I wanted to keep the same mounting location I already had and in fact the can and mid pipe fits nearly identical to the OEM pipe.
I really wanted to keep a vintage Yoshi can, so the die were tossed when I saw that on e-bay.
      Jim

After alot of work to fabricate the fender mounts and a jig to insure they got brazed on to the right place. Here is what it looked like ready for the HTS-2000 and a Acetylene torch to get it hot enough. The head lamp ears were cut and filled to fit the 41 mm forks (stock 83 ED is 37mm)

Here is a mock-up fit after brazing. I'm going to put the 83 GS1100ED anti dives on, the last challenge will be fitting the brake lines to the GSXR brakes.

I'm using 88 GSXR 1100 3 spoke wheels; here is a mock up of the rear but before I got the brake control arm modified. Looky those Ohlins kinda like SU-145's

I'm cutting it close. Today I finished sanding the the polished lips on the wheels.

                  More later
