Any Ideas on the dimensions
for that drop triple?
What are the upper and low fork ID's
What is the offset (between fork and steering stem)
I Assume the fork separation is same as GSXR 750.

There's a lot of dirtbikes out there with inverted forks with the same dimensions as the street bikes...has anyone thought to measure the length of the dirtbike tubes? Surely there's more to their increased length than just the legs...or I would think as much...

If your in a position where you haven't bought anything yet I highly recommend considering GSXR1100 forks. I'm using complete front end from 1994.
Yes I've lowered my ground clearance from 5" to 3.5" however the stiffer springs and reduced travel of the USD forks seems to take care of the issue. By the way I have a very big cooler and it also never comes close to the fender.
I've got 7000 miles of hilly new england roads on them now and haven't touched anything except my toe in hard turns. I wouldn't advise doing 20 mph over a speed bump but I can go over all but the highest of them at a crawl.
The more modern GSXR Showa forks are better than the mid to late 90's era KYB 1100 forks in terms of handling performance but you have to weigh that against the expense of solving the reduced clearance issue.

As it turns out another major factor in "practical" clearance is having an exhaust that comes straight down the center of the bike, like those that force removal of the center stand. I know your's is not of this type as you have retained your center stand so, that suggests that even the most aggressive rider might not have any clearance issues in cornering with 93-94 GSXR 1100 forks and a belly exhaust on 17" wheels.

The 3.5" is measured with a tape measure and my wife holding the bike up straight, no one sitting on it.
I haven't done anything with building a spare engine other than assembling parts, have the GRC welded 83 crank, a very nice complete 83 head that I'm gonna have HMC freshen up for me, an NOS GS1100 block, a spare clutch basket that gonna get welded. I'm still looking for a set of 83 cases or a complete 83 engine.
My bike has 107K now however it was last freshened up at 90K (re-hone and new rings). Based on the compression numbers we didn't do anything with the head.
The ported head was done @ around 70K or so.
It's running fantastic, no smoke, no leaks, plenty of umpff but at this age it don't hurt to have a spare.

here is the top triple with the FZ1 gen II bars (The fat Harley grabbers have been removed)
