    Frame mods

    Hello all-
I was wondering if anyone happens to know where I can get a weld on hardtail section or of a shop that will hardtail a '78 GS750. Unfortunately, I don't have the proper equiptment to build one myself. Although i possibly can get access to a welder. Thanks, Static616

It would be helpful if you let us know where in the world you live.

There is a guy where I live that will do it for you. Tho shipping might be a bit of an expense! Depends on where ya are!

Welder and a hacksaw is about what most of these frame cutters use.
        Maybe a hammer, too.
A few might even have a tape measure.

No one makes a weldon hard tail kit per say. The best you can hope for is to have a shop near by that has the gear and know how to do the job correct. And to answer the comment about "frame cutters" only hack jobs are done that way. There are far more doing it the right way.
If we knew where ya lived it may help. And you can check out thechopperunderground for some friendly advice about your project. You can also look into the way Im chopping mine. Im keeping the swingarm intact and working while dropping the over all ride 6". Let us know the direction you plan on.

I think you're being overly generous in your assessments.

Well i am building a bike now with a hard tail. I also own a shop in east tn. If you search the forum look for rat bike wanna be lol. I have a new bender coming so i will be changing the whole frame before it is over. My bike will be done sometime this spring (i hope). Lets keep the fingers crossed. I having new triple trees made and neck assy so maybe I can produce one for the ones that would like to have a ridged frame. Just a thought.

frame table and proper TIG fabrication
                not garage cheap

                A complete frame would be better - I have a kz1000 80% done
